Job Description
Windows N’ Things is a window and door dealership established 20 years ago, specializing in contemporary and custom designs, high-end products, and brands. As our business, with a client base of developers, contractors, designers, and architects, continues to expand, we are in search of Inside Sales Account Managers.
The ideal candidate is a relationship builder with a strong passion for sales and high-end products. You will be responsible for supporting inside sales opportunities from our showroom, learning our products and quoting systems, and developing new business. Success in this role requires initiative, the ability to learn quickly, and the drive to build lasting customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the full sales process from initial client contact through order placement
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships; develop trusted relationships with project managers and purchasing agents
• Become familiar with our products and recognize opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell
• Develop new business with existing clients and identify areas of improvement to expand sales
• Forecast and track key account metrics to drive business
• Prepare and organize order details according to customer needs
• Collaborate with other sales team members to identify and grow opportunities
• Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
What we’re looking for:
• Proven work experience as a B2B Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager, or relevant role
• Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence decision makers at all levels of an organization
• Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to detail
• Excellent listening, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Fast learner, multi-tasker, and self-motivated
• Experience selling in the window industry (an advantage)
• Other experience in the window and door industry is welcome if you’re ready to move into sales
Basic Tools needed:
• Experience with CRM software (advantage)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
• Basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.)
Qualifications
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1–2 years of work-related experience
Training & Onboarding
• Training includes manufacturer product materials, shadowing opportunities with sales reps, and hands-on learning with quoting systems and takeoffs
• New hires are expected to be proactive, ask questions, and take initiative in self-learning
• Performance is evaluated on an ongoing basis during onboarding to ensure alignment with role expectations
What We Offer:
• Competitive base salary plus commission structure
• Opportunity to work with high-end, luxury projects
• Professional development and ongoing product knowledge
• Collaborative work environment with a team of experienced professionals
• Paid vacation and sick time off
• Health benefits
• Pension plan
• High-end kitchen stocked with complimentary snacks and beverages
• Catered lunch events
Work Environment:
• This is an in-office position at our Canoga Park location (91303)
• No remote or hybrid work options are available
• The role combines daily use of quoting software, CRM, and email with active engagement in the field. While much of the process is managed on a computer, success also comes from meeting with homeowners, designers, contractors, developers, and architects—whether in the showroom, on jobsites, or through canvassing for new leads. Candidates should be comfortable balancing desk-based tasks with proactive, relationship-driven sales activities.
