Job Title: Inbuilding Construction Manager

Location: Overland Park, KS (60% travel required)

Employment Type: Full-time, 2-year Project Assignment

Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Manager

Payrate: $45 - $50/hr.

Role Overview:

This Construction Manager (CM) will support the Ericsson Inbuilding Program. The role involves high travel (approximately 60%) and requires strong civil works and project coordination expertise. The CM is accountable for managing all civil construction aspects including scheduling, financial controls, quality management, safety compliance, and vendor oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Civil Works and ensure compliance with Ericsson standards and federal/local regulations.
  • Monitor project schedule, quality, and financial controls.
  • Ensure only customer-approved materials are used on-site.
  • Oversee adherence to construction timelines and design guidelines.
  • Participate in coordination and progress meetings.
  • Provide on-site supervision, especially where there's risk to network performance.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure all tools and environments meet safety standards.
  • Solve civil works issues during execution.
  • Coordinate site activities, ensuring project goals are met across all disciplines.
  • Drive project schedule and troubleshoot field issues.
  • Confirm technical compliance from vendors and service providers.
  • Enforce safety protocols throughout construction phases.
  • Perform site inspections, verifications, and quality audits.
  • Prepare accurate and timely progress reports.
  • Assist vendors with technical guidance and ensure delivery quality.
  • Report performance issues and reject non-compliant materials.
  • Interpret and ensure adherence to civil design plans.
  • Lead and coordinate with service providers and other trades on-site.
  • Manage construction-specific documentation in Site Handler (e.g., NTP, RFDS, SOW, QA standards).
  • Oversee closeout document review and acceptance sign-off.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom construction/project management.
  • Experience with project builds exceeding 500 sites .
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide teams and implement process improvements.

Certifications (Required Prior to Start):

  • OSHA 30
  • RF Awareness
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Ergonomics Training

  • Smartphone with WiFi tethering
  • Any additional tools required for successful assignment execution
