About Network Infrastructure Network Infrastructure, includes IP Routing, Optical Networks and Fixed Networks, as well as Alcatel Submarine Networks business, currently reported under Group Common. About Nuage Networks At Nuage Networks we shape the transformation of Enterprise and Telecommunications networks through Software Defined Networking (SDN). Job Position Description Software (SWA) comprises the definition, specification, and allocation of requirements from different sources utilizing knowledge of systems engineering processes (specification & architecture). Contains processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional description. Covers specification, design, implementation, and unit testing of Software (e.g. device drivers, microcode, hardware-related software & firmware) according to the requirements and architecture defined in the systems engineering process. Covers establishment and maintenance of Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices into software development projects, continuously building and integrating infrastructure tools and systems. Role Summary The DevOps Engineer manages new software version releases based on scrum or agile release cycles. Iteratively develops, configures, operates, and improves automation for the management and operations of new generation IT&T services. Job Responsibilities & Competencies Based on in-depth understanding and experience of operations automation, specifies Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) required of Nokia product groups and other new technology product companies to enable interfacing to Nokia's service automation applications and platforms. Leads technical collaboration within established projects and broad guidelines with service software developers inside and outside Nokia to best provide for effective integration between service components and Nokia's service operations automation components. Solves complex problems and challenges relating to the performance of service operations automation. Has in-depth business knowledge and uses understanding of how relevant areas integrate to achieve objectives. Shares ideas for professional direction of DevOps activities. Acts as a professional advisor and mentor for Managed Services Development Operations (MS DevOps) staff / workteam / taskforces. May act as leader for an MS DevOps, co-ordinating and allocating work, coaching and providing on-the-job training to other team members, making recommendations in their formal performance assessment. Manages new software versions releases based on scrum or agile release cycle to meet customer requirements. Qualifications Required Minimum Qualifications: Education: BSC, MSCS, MSCE or similar is required. 6-9 years of work experience in related areas. Desired Qualifications: BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Developing the core infrastructure of Nuage engineering, provision and monitor new servers using IT automation tool, Develop integration scripts written in Python and Bash Experience in software development, operations, and/or site reliability. Infrastructure/DevOps experience preferred Strong knowledge of Linux platform and CLI Proficiency at Git and the Github pull request model Building software and continuous integration (Jenkins, Travis, Concourse, etc.) Network protocols and virtual packet switching Cloud computing infrastructure (Libvirt, Qemu, Openstack, Cloudstack, Docker, Kubernetes etc. Openstack preferred) Experienced in System Builds, System Administration, Installs, Upgrades, Patches, Troubleshooting on UNIX/Linux Systems. Public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) Infrastructure automation (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, etc. Ansible preferred) Software development experience in a compiled language (Java, C etc.) Nokia is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
