About The Role

Peraton is excited to pursue the FAA’s transformative initiative to modernize the National Airspace System (NAS)—a comprehensive effort that spans all facets of NAS operations, including communications, surveillance, automation, and facilities. This initiative is not simply a system upgrade; it’s a strategic reinvention of the services, systems, and platforms that underpin NAS functionality. Aligned with the FAA’s vision, Peraton is prepared to bring advanced, emerging, and proven technologies to the forefront—delivering solutions that not only sustain but enhance NAS capabilities. With deep expertise in national security and mission-critical systems, Peraton is committed to helping the FAA meet the dynamic and evolving needs of airspace users today and well into the future.

In support of this Modernization effort of the following Core NAS Infrastructure (Communication, Surveillance, Facilities, Automation), we are looking for senior level personnel with strong expertise in:

• Modernization of Legacy Infrastructure and Capabilities
• Comprehensive Execution Approach for NAS Modernization
• Gap Analysis and Operationalization
• Sustainment and Transition Planning for Modernized NAS Capabilities
• Technology Assessment and Systems Efficiencies
• Integrated Management and Coordination Across NAS Modernization Domains
• Operational Integration of Systems into the NAS
• Acquisition Strategy and Contract Management
• Equipment Procurement and Support Provisioning
• FAA Management and Engineering Practices
• Program Management
• Systems Engineering
• Systems Validation
• Integrated Logistics Support and Training
• Configuration Management
• In-Service Management
• Quality Management
• Implementation

Qualifications

Prerequisites:

• US Citizen
• Ability to obtain a public trust and Top Secret clearance

Required Experience:

• 10+ years experience in the specific field of expertise listed above, preferably in the FAA / Aviation environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in a STEM or Aviation related field

Note: This opportunity is currently in the proposal phase. Employment is contingent upon contract award.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
