This position will increase results reporting to patients and allow increased scheduling time, including discussing clinical results with patients, ordering medications, referrals, and triaging procedural urgency. Responsibilities include providing direct or indirect patient care under the supervision of a physician, based on scope of training, for patients with urgent, emergent, or preventive health needs. Services provided by the Clinical Office Assistant include general patient care, assistance with procedures, documentation, and patient/family education in alignment with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities Provide direct or indirect care under physician supervision as applicable; assist with procedures; manage documentation; and educate patients and families according to Deaconess policies. Education and Experience Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or graduation from an accredited nursing program required. Experience preferred but not required.
