As a Senior Cost Accountant at Ryerson, you will have heavy involvement in the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, conducting research, and leading projects . Roles and Responsibilities Analyze and correct product cost and price margin issues Maintain accurate inventory, production, and sales order reviews and support year-end audits Analyze and correct inventory valuations Assist plants in researching and resolving financial issues Assist in internal management reporting and analysis Work on other special projects as assigned All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5 years plus years of Accounting or Inventory experience (preferred in manufacturing or warehouse) Understanding of inventory accounting methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average) CPA preferred Knowledge of SAP a plus Strong analytical skills and detailed orientated Able to work independently with minimal supervision Salary: $88,557 - $105,696 annually. A starting salary higher than $88,557 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
