Job Description

Job Title: Senior Patient Mobility Specialist

Location: Rochester General Hospital

Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule: Day/Evening

SUMMARY :

 

The Senior Mobilization Tech collaboratives and supports the care team by assisting and documenting patient mobility and positioning. 

RESPONSIBILITES :

  • Supporting patients in basic mobility including but not limited to standing, sitting, and simple exercises. 

  • Ensuring patients are safely mobilizing using proper techniques and equipment.

  • Educating patients and family on mobility and therapy goals. 

  • Document as directed within the Electronic Medical Record.

  • Aid with toileting and positioning patient.

  • Communicate appropriate with the medical team. 

  • Provides support of Patient Care Tech duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
• One year of direct patient care experience in a healthcare facility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
