Job Description & Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Licensure/Experience:
  • Active RN license (KY or compact)
  • Minimum 2 years recent experience in ICU and/or telemetry
  • Comfortable caring for both ICU-level and telemetry patients
  • First-time travelers accepted
• Certifications (Required):
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (Stroke Certification)
• Skills/Clinical Competencies:
  • Ventilator management
  • High Flow Nasal Cannula, BiPAP/CPAP
  • Central/PICC/arterial line care
  • Blood product administration
  • CRRT, Impella, Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
  • Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Chest tube management, ABG interpretation
  • Infection control and PPE protocols
• Charting System:
  • Experience with Epic (required)
• Other Requirements:
  • Must float to Med-Surg/Telemetry if needed
  • Weekend requirement: Every other or every third weekend (min. 2 shifts/month)

  • Self-scheduling
